Broad-shouldered, bulky and dressed in black, Angel easily outweighs Eagles quarterback Michael Vick and looks twice as foreboding.
But, while Vick was serving 18 months in prison for his involvement in a dogfighting ring, Angel was rescuing canines that fell victim to such rings and other forms of cruelty.
Angel was among six members of Rescue Ink who met with fourth- through seventh-graders at Chester Community Charter School Tuesday to talk about respect for animals. Three members met with more than 250 students at Glen Mills School in Thornbury Wednesday.
