Blankets and towels are always needed at the shelter. If you have questions about specific shelter needs, please call (610) 566-1370.
Volunteers are always needed, but you must be 18 years old in order to work with the animals. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator.
If you would like to take a shelter tour, or would like to arrange a humane education presentation, please call (610) 566-1370, ext. 8 to contact Ann Morris, our Humane Educator.

All new volunteers must complete a volunteer orientation. Anyone that wishes to attend please email our Volunteer Coordinator.
Look for our volunteers and available pets at the following locations:
Petsmart - Springfield
Second & Third Saturday of each month
10 AM - 1 PM
Granite Run Mall
First and Fourth Saturday of each month
10 AM - 1 PM
We currently need volunteers to:
- Photograph and evaluate dogs and cats for our petfinder listings
- Exercise and socialize dogs
- Assist customers in the cat wing
- Assist customers in the dog kennels
- Answer the phones
- Help at the adoption desk
- Foster cats and dogs
- Show animals off site
- Greet visitors in our lobby
- Volunteer as committee members for events and fundraising activities
